Come One Dance Academy opened its doors to students in September 2019. Since then, the rise of the school has been astonishing. We strive to bring the best out in young dance and musical theatre pupils in the Watford area.
We boast an amazing faculty and strong links to some of the best artists in the industry, providing mind-blowing opportunities.

Should students choose to pursue a path in dance or musical theatre, Principal Sophie fully prepares them throughout their time at CODA, not only in class but also by putting on regular in-house shows. The school also continually strives for many external performance opportunities, which have included Move It!, CYD?, Alton Towers, Disneyland Paris and Watford Palace Theatre. Sophie most recently put together an Elite Competition Team. She also offers personal guidance, free of charge, throughout the application process for prestigious colleges including accompaniment to open days and preparation for auditions.

Founded by Sophie Martin, the school was created following Sophie’s career educating within performing arts. There she received her teacher’s qualification, ‘Level 5 Diploma in Education & Training’. She was then asked to lecture and become a tutor for West Herts College on the ‘Level 3 BTEC Diploma in Performing Arts’ course.
Sophie was originally trained at the Italia Conti Academy where she completed a diploma in performing arts. Unfortunately, she suddenly required operations on both knees, which led her to her making a tough choice to step away from the stage.

CODA was developed based on Sophie’s vision of having all-inclusive training available to students, which stemmed from the passion she grew for teaching and providing students with the best and most current training possible.
Through current knowledge, research and networking, Sophie has developed many contacts throughout the industry enabling her to provide the most up-to-date and progressive training as well as putting together outstanding opportunities, which include organising workshops and intensives with some of the best artists in the industry. Sophie has an increasingly creative mind, which was originally identified through her award-winning choreography. This she applies to her work, offering outstanding shows that she writes and puts together, along with class structures you will not receive anywhere else.
